Kodoani.com – Bandai Namco has posted a new trailer for the game's DLC expansion Elden Ring of FromSoftware, titled Shadow of the Erdtreeon Wednesday.
The expansion will launch on June 21 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. To play this expansion, players must have the game Elden Ring basic.
Pre-orders for the DLC are now open, including both physical and digital bundles bundled with the game Elden Ring for those who don't own the base game. Package Premium Includes digital art book and soundtrack. Version Deluxe includes the base game, digital artbook and both soundtracks. Version Collector's Edition of the game, including a hardcover artbook, a statue of Messmer the Impaler and a soundtrack voucher, are also available for pre-order exclusively on the Bandai Namco Entertainment Store.
Those who pre-order the DLC will receive the gesture Ring of Miquella. A replica of Messmer the Impaler's helmet is also available at the Bandai Namco Entertainment Store in very limited quantities and will ship on June 28.
FromSoftware has launched Elden Ring for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam in February 2022. The game quickly surpassed 12 million copies sold worldwide in March 2022 and has surpassed Call of Duty: Vanguard to become the best-selling game in the US for the 12 months ending April 2022.
Hidetaka Miyazaki (Dark Souls, Dark Souls III, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice) and author George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones) collaborated to create the game's world.
Elden Ring won Game of the Year at the DICE Awards, Game Awards and Golden Joystick Awards. The game also won the Grand Prize at the PlayStation Partner Awards in December 2022. Miyazaki won the Nebula Award for Best Game Writing last year for his work on the game.
