There is a lot of information currently suggesting that The Last of Us Remake will be on PC on the same day as the PS5 version.
Although Naughty Dog has yet to announce a remake of The Last of Us, there has been a lot of corroborating information about this version recently. Previously, Jeff Grubb has stated that he believes the remake will come out this holiday season, while his colleague Tom Henderson also believes that there is a possibility of the game coming out in the fall of 2022.
With Sony dedicated to bringing their biggest exclusive features to PC, it’s no surprise that The Last of Us Remake will be included in the list of big games coming to PC. Recent years have seen games like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, etc. launch via Steam. The latest State of Play event also confirmed that Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be joining the Steam store on August 12, 2022.
Industry insider ‘insider_wtf’ recently took to Twitter to hint fans of the sign with just a snippet of ‘Part 1 – 02.09.022’ followed by two suggestive emojis Notes on the release on PlayStation and PC. Of course, although the hint doesn’t mention The Last of Us at all, it’s really not too difficult for fans to guess what game it is.
Since the sequel to The Last of Us is called ‘Part 2’, many fans believe that the tweet in question is clearly related to the remake of The Last of Us Remake. As for insider reliability, the previous insider_wtf account correctly revealed all of the recent Sony projects that appeared during the State of Play event, as well as the name of Kojima’s next project. Although the information from this account is mostly correct, there are always last minute changes so before any announcements are made please wait patiently. With the Summer Game Fest event just a few hours away, there’s a good chance that if The Last of Us Remake is real and coming, we’ll definitely know soon.
