Should we support Vietnamese game products despite the quality not being as expected?
In recent days, the launch of Than Trung has made the Vietnamese game market busier than ever. Any article about this game will receive a lot of discussion from the Vietnamese gaming community. Even Than Chong was noticed by some famous foreign gamers, making the pride of domestic gamers rise.
However, with any product, there are people who praise and criticize. This is also a game product made by the Vietnamese team, so it creates even more powerful effects. And that also creates a lot of questions about the support of the developed market and the quality of the game.
First, I must say that I am very excited about the products developed by the team of the country itself. Although the final product may not be as expected, with a cheap price, it is also the first important step for Vietnam – which is still a nascent game market. However, in this article, I want to pose the problem more objectively.
Should we support the Vietnamese game market regardless of quality?
Supporting Vietnamese games: The need to join hands of the entire community
No market can develop without the contributions and support of users, especially domestic users. Vietnam’s game market is also in dire need of support from domestic communities if it wants to grow stronger. In the most practical way, the support here is the money that each person spends to buy the game, not the mental support after downloading the cracked game.
If you want developers to make quality products that match or even exceed the selling price, fans have to accept two things.
The first is that the gaming community must accept that the first product will certainly not be of the expected quality. This is a problem that happens to any developer when entering the market with wet feet. Since it’s the first product, the feedback of each user is more important than the number of sales. Because those sincere comments will help developers draw experience for the next products.
The second thing is that fans must definitely accept to spend money to support the product, not find a way to play temple and then shout out “support in spirit”. In the era of escalating prices, every effort that each person puts in must be converted into money. And thanks to that, the new developer has the inspiration, capital and enthusiasm to devote to the following Vietnamese game products.
I believe that no developer is happy when their product makes a loss. Even if they go live saying that it’s okay for people to play crack games, it’s just their way of showing respect to their fans. And gamers who want to show respect for the developer, please give honest, constructive comments and buy the copyrighted game.
The gaming community should not support the nationalist spirit regardless
Any problem has two sides to look at. Game developers create games for the growing domestic market, but fans are not so supportive.
We spend money to buy games, we have the right to demand the quality of the game commensurate with that amount of money, whether it is a game that costs 75,000 or 750,000. The gaming community can forgive the limitations of the first product, but if the developer does not improve gradually in the next games, it is clear that no user wants to continue to support.
It’s still basically a buy and sell exchange. When developers do not bring product value commensurate with the expectations and money of gamers, their psychology will certainly become inhibited. The most serious consequence is that gamers gradually turn away instead of supporting the market.
Currently, users think a lot differently about each coin they spend. Even if that amount is only two or three bowls of pho, if it’s not worth it, it’s easy to inhibit them.
Always support and give constructive suggestions
In general, for a game market to grow, developers and users must always look towards each other. Game developers are careful, meticulous and users are always supportive of buying copyrights. Certainly, when the product reaches gamers, it will inevitably make mistakes, and that’s when game makers really need ideas to be able to improve gradually. No one can do well and please everyone the first time.
As for users, even if we spend money, it does not mean that we have the right to criticize without reason and then label it as a personal opinion. The fan community should also not flatter the product too much, comparing to bring down games to elevate their favorite game beyond what it actually brings.
I have spent money to buy games, but even if I am angry, I do not give rude words to the game maker. Their efforts and hearts for the gaming community as well as the Vietnamese game market are much more valuable.
If we continue to criticize without being constructive, then try to ask when will the Vietnamese game village grow up. We are not advocating defiantly, but we also cannot offer opinions that drown out the leaders.
