A spokesman for the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) on August 5 revealed 305m is the highest number ever issued by the authorities for construction projects in Singapore, which means that The building at 8 Shenton Way will be the new “roof” of Singapore.
The spokesperson added:

This new building will be built on the current site of the AXA tower, located at 8 Shenton Way (Tanjong Pagar).
After completion, with a height of 305m, this building will join Guoco Tower to become the 2 tallest buildings in Singapore and also the only 2 buildings higher than 280m. The building is expected to be completed by 2030, according to Forbes.
URA also revealed that the investor also plans to build many commercial centers, streets, offices and underground transportation systems, etc., aiming to build an entire urban area at the foot of the building. home.
Accordingly, URA said that 59% or 87,967 m2 of the building’s total floor area will be used for commerce and business, another 49,421 m2 will be built into more than 200 luxury apartments.
