Han Joo-Won is the grandson of the Chairman of Kaan Group. As he got older, he thought about transferring the group to a capable leader. Soo-Ho and his father invite Dong-Hee to a restaurant to introduce him to his “fiance”. His fiance is Kang Enu-Jin, the daughter of the chairman of H group, who owns several hotels. Dong-Hee was able to see through the ruse immediately. He asks Enu-Jin if she loves Soo-Ho. After receiving no answer from Dong-Hee asks her to leave. Even though she was embarrassed, she kept her composure and left.
Soo-Ho was furious that his grandfather had rudely kicked a potential mate away. However, Dong-Hee explains that he regrets not paying more attention to his ailing wife. He did not want his grandsons to go through the same ordeal. The scene then shifts to Joo-Won’s house, where Dae-Yun has just woken up from a night of drinking. Furthermore, in her drunkenness, she kissed Joo-Won but didn’t remember anything about it.
At home, she runs into Joo-Won’s mother, who tells her how much she appreciates Dae-Yun for marrying her son. She goes on to explain Joo-Won’s past. There we know why he hates water so much. When Joo-Won was just a teenager, he attended a church retreat with some of his friends. There, they snuck out to the beach where one of his friends was swept up by the waves. Although Joo-Won doesn’t know how to win, he rushes in to save them. The friend is fine but Joo-Won has developed an irrational fear of water and has become aloof from society.
