The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ Kyuushuu channels on April 9 at 11:00 p.m. (10:00 a.m. EDT) and will also air on Niigata TV 21, TV Shizuoka, RCC Chugoku Broadcasting and BS TV Tokyo. The anime will run in two separate batches

Family Agent X tells the story of Loid Forger, codenamed “Twilight”, the world’s greatest spy, who must assemble a fake family to complete a mission. While he tries his best to dismiss the idea that his new family is completely average, his wife is actually a deadly assassin, his daughter is a mind-reading psychic, and the dog His is a government experiment that can see the future.
In addition to struggling with appearing “normal,” the family must deal with rival spies and assassins who are threatening to blow up their cover. While they initially come together simply to complete a mission, their actions eventually develop into a true family bond, and the group has to come to terms with the realization that completing Becoming their goal would mean the end of the mission and the disintegration of their new family.
Takuya Eguchi will voice the main character in the anime as Loid Forger. Saori Hayami voices Yor Forger, and Atsumi Tanezaki voices Anya Forger.
Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Mobile Suit Gundam UC, Rurouni Kenshin, Getbackers, 2019 Dororo) is directing the anime at Wit Studio and CloverWorks. Kazuaki Shimada (The Promised Neverland) is designing the characters and [K] NoW_NAME (Fairy gone, Dorohedoro, Sakura Quest) is the music producer.
Endō launched the manga in Japan on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump + service in March 2019. Shueisha began offering the manga in English on the MANGA Plus service on the same day. Viz Media added the manga to its app as part of its Shonen Jump subscription in September 2019. The company is also publishing the manga in print.
