Remake launches on Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC on June 27
Kodoani.com – XSEED Games streamed on Tuesday the trailer for Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life farm life simulation remake of the original 2003 GameCube game on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
XSEED Games will release the game in North America on June 27. Marvelous will release the game in Europe and Australia on the same day.
The game will receive a premium package in North America that includes a pocket stuffed goat and a canvas poster in the box, featuring an image of series illustrator Igusa Matsuyama. Packages in Europe and Australia will also include fabric and box posters, as well as a 40-page A5 notebook and chibi stickers.
Your new life begins in the Forgotten Valley, a quiet community where your father and friend Takakura once dreamed of running a farm. As you make friends with the inhabitants of the valley and fulfill your father’s legacy, you will live a carefree life on a farm farming and raising cattle. As the seasons go by, you’ll find your life partner, raise the kids together, and watch them grow up right before your very eyes.
After completing your daily chores on the farm, you can go fishing, hunt for ancient treasures at the local dig site, or chat with friends in town to build precious memories. And as the years go by, your children will be old enough to choose their own profession… Will they inherit the farm? Or will they find their call somewhere else? Only time will tell.
This remake of the beloved classic features new events, enhanced festivals, more recipes, and a wealth of never-before-seen crops. Looking for more to do around the farm? Take a picture of your family with the new camera feature, dress up your favorite outfit or help your residents with their requests. Whether this is your first SEASONS STORY adventure or you’re heading back to the Forgotten Valley, a wonderful life awaits you.
Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life previously debuted on the Nintendo GameCube in September 2003 in Japan and March 2004 in North America as Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life by Natsume. XSEED Games took over the release of the franchise in 2015, and it couldn’t use Natsume’s Harvest Moon title.
