Souchu to launch spin-off about life in January 2020
Kodoani.com – The February issue of Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine revealed on Wednesday that Souchu ‘s spin off manga is Tatoeba Last Dungeon Mae no Mura no Shōnen ga Joban no Machi no Shokudō de Hataraku Nichijō Monogatari (Suppose a Kid From the Last Dungeon Boonies Worked at a Restaurant in a Starter Town) will end in the magazine’s next issue on February 12.
The manga is a spin-off of a light novel series by Toshio Satō and illustrator Nao Watanuki as Suppose a Kid From the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town (Tatoeba Last Dungeon Mae no Mura no Shōnen ga Joban no Machi de Kurasu Yō na Monogatari). Souchu launched the manga in Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine in January 2020, and Square Enix published the series’ third compiled book volume in September 2021.
Lloyd is a novice adventurer with dreams of discovering the “true power” in the capital he has always admired, despite growing up with neighbors who view him as weak. The story begins with him leaving his hometown, which very coincidentally is right next to… one of the most dangerous dungeons in the world?! Lloyd may consider himself powerless, but when he arrives in the city that serves as a starting town for adventurers, the difference between him and the others couldn’t be more obvious!
GA Bunko began publishing the light novel series in February 2017. Hajime Fusemachi launched a manga adaptation on the Gangan Online website in September 2017.
The novel series has had a television anime adaptation that premiered in January 2021.
