Gunner Aiming took all the spotlight in T1’s victory over KT thanks to the Killer Instinct “like a god”.
A few hours ago, the “great media war” between T1 and KT Rolster took place. Before the game, not many people believed that KT would make a surprise against T1. Partly because Faker and his teammates are still showing good form in the LCK. The other part, in the last 5 confrontations, KT was unable to win against T1.
But the reality in the match has shown that T1 has encountered many difficulties and KT has proved that in this Summer of 2022, their goal of 1 place at Worlds 2022 is completely serious. KT took the lead in game 1 because of T1’s subjective pick and ban. But because T1 regained focus in game 2, it brought the match back to the starting line. As for game 3, if ADC Aiming didn’t make a mistake in the decisive teamfight, KT had a chance to win.
On social media forums, besides expressing regret for KT, many comments were also directed at player Aiming with criticisms. Because, this is not the first time he has had Assassin Instinct phases “go underground” like that. Remember, in the LCK Spring 2022, also in the match against T1, Aiming also had a similar phase with Kai’Sa flying straight into the middle of the T1 lineup. In this match, before the decisive phase of the fight, Aiming also chased after Zeus once until he almost died.
But anyway, T1 also showed their level and bravery in this match. Although this is an extremely difficult victory for Faker and his teammates, the result is the most important. Not only extending the unbeaten streak in the LCK to 22, T1’s victory will create a good psychological premise for the team. Especially, in the next competition week, T1 will meet Liiv SANDBOX and especially “great rival” DWG KIA.
