A couple shocked passersby by blatantly having sex at a filming location of the TV blockbuster “Game of Thrones”.
The New York Post reported that the incident happened last week in the Old Town area of the coastal city of Dubrovnik, Croatia – which was chosen as the setting for the fictional city of King’s Landing in the hit TV series “Game” of Thrones” (Vietnamese title: Game of Thrones).
A passerby used a mobile phone to record a couple blatantly having sex at a tourist destination and shared it on social media.
In the video, a man and woman leans against a stone statue in the historic square. Despite being in a public place, the two did not mind, still passionately re-enacting the “rainy clouds” scene in HBO’s TV blockbuster.
The couple only stopped when a passerby approached, asking them to stop their offensive behavior immediately. The woman had just pulled her skirt down, while her boyfriend adjusted his clothes and the two of them leisurely left as if nothing had happened.

The display of extreme affection took place just meters away from the filming location of the most “humiliating” scene of “Game of Thrones” . Accordingly, the character Cersei Lannister (played by Lena Headey) was stripped naked, had her hair cut, and then marched on the street after admitting incest with her twin brother. From a powerful, arrogant queen, Cersei was yelled at, cursed by the crowd, hurled stones, rotten eggs and leftovers.

“Game of Thrones” has helped increase the number of tourists to the Old Town significantly. According to the Telegraph, 18.4 million foreign tourists visited Dubrovnik in 2018, up more than 100% from eight years before the show aired. However, locals are annoyed by more and more scenes of public sex and peeing indiscriminately.
“Game of Thrones” helps Old Town become more famous but also exposes locals to more images that go against traditional customs.
