Vigor – the shooting game from the studio behind the blockbusters Arma and DayZ – finally comes to PC gamers in May.
Considering that Arma and DayZ are Bohemia Interactive's most successful PC games ever, many were surprised by the developer's decision to release its younger brother Vigor on Xbox, Playstation, and Switch in 2020. Bohemia Interactive's latest F2P shooter has turned its back on the PC platform for nearly five years, but that will soon change. Starting next month, Vigor will enter early access on Steam and is expected to officially release at the end of 2024. Set in post-war Norway, Vigor is a free-to-play survival looter shooter. The fee is the same as Arma and DayZ but this game focuses on realism, a difference compared to games of the same genre. Players need to collect resources and equipment to defend themselves and improve their shelter to protect themselves against harsh weather. Matches feature a variety of status-changing effects such as airdrops that provide weapon and item blueprints to initiate gunfights, and radiation clouds like rings that sweep across the map, forcing players to relocate. .
The early access version of Vigor will come with a support package. Players can purchase Reinforcements packs to receive weapons and items that give them an advantage at the start of the game. Players should note that any progress made during Early Access will be lost when the main version of Vigor releases later this year. Readers can learn more about Vigor through the game's Steam page here.
