In a city of the dead, long ruined and far from human civilization, there lived an only human child. His name is Will, and was raised by three undead: the mighty skeleton warrior, Blood; gracefully mummified priestess, Mary; and the cunning light witch, Gus. The three love the boy, and teach him all they know. But one day, Will begins to wonder, “Who am I?”
Will must unravel the mysteries of this distant land of the dead, and unearth the undead’s secret past. He must learn the love and mercy of the good gods, and the stubbornness and madness of the bad. And when he knows it all, the boy will take his first steps on the path to becoming a Paladin.
“I promised you. It will take some time, but I will tell you everything. This is the story of the death of many heroes. It is the story of how we die, and that is why. because you grew up here.”
