The “father” of Helldivers 2 said he felt very sad because of what Helldivers 2 had to go through.
“Your opinions have been heard and I am doing everything I can to speak up for the community. Unfortunately, I am not the one who has the last say,” this is the emotional Tweet of the Director. Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt.
Nearly 300,000 negative reviews along with more than 200,000 refund requests on Steam show the extreme anger of the gaming community for this game. Previously, publisher Sony's policy (forcing PC gamers to link to PlayStation Network accounts) made Helldivers 2's situation worse.
Responding to PCGamer, Mr. Johan Pilestedt said: “We are discussing solutions with Sony, especially in countries without PSN. However, the final result still has to wait.” Because Arrowhead Studio is only the manufacturer and Sony is the official publisher, all policies related to the release of the game are decided by the “giant of the Japanese gaming industry”.
Currently, Sony seems determined not to give in. They will still apply forcing PC gamers to link to their PlayStation Network account. For countries and territories without PSN, Helldivers 2 allows gamers to refund game purchases on Steam.
