The ‘father’ of Naruto revealed his wish for these three characters to be ‘pampered’ and loved, but he did not expect to receive the harsh and indifferent attitude of the fans.
Naruto is considered one of the works containing many attractive and complex characters, receiving much love from everyone. However, even so, Naruto’s ‘father’, Masashi Kishimoto, still wanted some characters to be given more priority, but fans had a surprising reaction.
Accordingly, the names that the author Masashi Kishimoto mentioned became one of the names that received the most criticism in the series. Those are: Sai, Sakura and Kimimaro.
Wrong: Personality ‘hard to love’
Sai is a character who joined Team 7 to replace Sasuke after he defected from Konoha. Although Kishimoto did not give any personal explanation for the audience’s dislike of Sai, this is a clear fact.
This character has a somewhat cold and mechanical personality, making it difficult to receive love in this emotional series about brotherhood and friends.
Sai has an effeminate appearance with pale skin, which makes the audience not very sympathetic.
However, in reality this is a much deeper character than he gives credit for.

Kimimaro: Creepy skill
Based on a touching storyline, Kimimaro is built with unique skills that are… creepy.
Accordingly, one of those skills is the ability to use one’s own bones as weapons and this makes fans feel worried.
According to what Kimimaro shared, the character’s bone manipulation technique may be ‘too strong’ for female audiences,
Additionally, this character is too ‘dark’ to be likable.
Sakura: The most confusing case
If it comes to one of the most confusing cases of Naruto, it is probably the case of Sakura.
From the beginning, she was presented as a female protagonist but unfortunately, she fell behind the strong development of the remaining two members of team 7, Naruto and Sasuke.
It was thought that the ‘father’ of Naruto wanted to express the ‘inner Sakura’ by creating a portrait of a woman that was easy to understand and attracted a large number of female fans, but unexpectedly this had the opposite effect.
Because of Sakura’s initial inability to contribute significantly to battles and her obsession with Sasuke, Sakura became a ‘rock in the way’ in the eyes of Naruto’s followers.
