Kodoani.com – Official website of Giant Beasts of Ars (Ars no Kyojū), the original anime co-production between DMM and HIDIVE, began streaming the anime’s first promotional video on Wednesday. The website and video announced the additional cast:

Asami Seto as Tsurugi, a general of the Wakana court Kuramochi as Sharuto, Tsurugi’s assistant Ryōta Takeuchi as Façade, an amnesiac swordsman Mayu Aoyagi as Tōka
Kenichi Ogata as Zen, a swordsman Atsushi Tamaru as Mezami, Kuumi’s relentless pursuer Takayuki Sugo as Bakura, a mysterious agent of the empire

The anime will premiere on January 6 on MBS, TBS, and 26 other networks on the “Super Animeism” channel. The anime will also premiere on AT-X on January 9 and on BS NTV on January 10.
Great beasts created the land, but man stole it. Enraged, the beasts began to eat humans, who called on the gods to fight the beasts. In the age of swords, heroes, and myths, giant beasts are hunted by humans for profit. Jiro, who makes a living hunting animals, meets Kuumi, who is being chased by someone, and at that moment he decides to save her. As rumors spread about humanity and a mysterious experiment, together they seek to uncover the world’s secrets.
Akira Oguro (Namu Amida Butsu! -Rendai Utena-) is directing the series at Asahi Production. Ashito Ōyari designed the original characters, and Hiroshi Shimizu (Hinata no Aoshigure background art) and Masato Kato (Namu Amida Butsu! -Rendai Utena-, Peach Boy Riverside) are adapting those designs for animation. Norimitsu Kaihō (Astra Lost in Space, School-Live!, Akudama Drive) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Shūji Katayama and Akinari Suzuki composed the music.
Japanese band Penguin Research performed the anime’s opening theme song “Hengen Jizai” (Morphing Existence), and Harumi performed the ending theme song “Na mo Nai Hana” (The Nameless Flower).
