WIT Studio released the first AMV for the Magic: The Gathering anime, and also revealed the first images of the film.
Magic: The Gathering (MTG; also known as Magic) is a fighting card game created by Richard Garfield. Released in 1993 by Wizards of the Coast, Magic was the first fighting card game and it continues to grow over time, with approximately 20 million players as of 2015. Magic can be played by two or multiplayer with different formats, the most common of which uses a deck of more than 60 cards, containing no more than 4 identical cards with the exception of the base ground card. Playable directly with printed cards or using a virtual deck over the Internet with Magic: The Gathering Online, on a smartphone or tablet, or other programs.
And as previously reported, an anime set in the vast world in Magic: The Gathering will be produced by WIT Studio.
Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty is the latest expansion to Wizards of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering collectible card game, released in Japan on February 18, 2022, and to celebrate the new installment, a segment AMV style demo was released by WIT STUDIO with Maxilla.
Wit Studio, the famous animation company behind the first three seasons of the hit anime franchise Attack on Titan, as well as numerous other critically acclaimed series, such as 2021’s Ranking of Kings and Vivy: Fluorite Eyes’ will be in charge of the visuals for the upcoming film. As for the theme song “Scratch”, which was composed by TK from the Japanese band Ling Tosite Sigure, and served as the opening theme vocalist for Tokyo Ghoul. In addition, the song also features guest vocals, musician Koshi Inaba of B’z.

The trailer (above) delves into the backstory of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty (Kamigawa: Shining World) with characters such as the Wandering Emperor – a “Traveler” who cannot control his ability to travel between worlds. world with his childhood friend and companion Kaito Shizuki, in addition, the film also features the appearance of other famous faces such as Tamiyo, Tezzeret, and the Phyrexian villain Jin-Gitaxias.
