Part 2 of Harry Potter – Chamber of Secrets introduced the audience to the transformation potion, so that the new trilogy of films could blend into the Slytherin house. While Harry and Ron succeeded, Hermione suddenly turned into “cat-man” by mistakenly using cat hair instead of the object’s hair.
The image of the cat Hermione at that time in Harry Potter part 2 made the audience excited because it was both funny and cute. However, the truth is that the character behind that image is not Emma Watson, but her stuntman. Sticking with Watson since part 1, Flick Miles is known as “the most perfect substitute” for the character Hermione.
Flick Miles is Emma Watson’s stunt double.
Miles shared that she was chosen by chance, just through a photo that her mother sent to the film crew. Later, she went to the studio and took a test to see if she matched Emma Watson in terms of face angle, body shape and aura. Because of the many similarities, Miles was chosen to stand for the character of Hermione.
She participated in the scene in the movie Hermione transforms into a cat because Emma Watson is allergic to the makeup glue. Miles said she sat for hours to transform into half human – half cat, but it was also a very interesting and new experience.
Her beauty is not inferior to Emma Watson.
Possessing a beautiful appearance not inferior to Emma Watson, Flick Miles was quickly loved on the set. She is also close with other co-stars such as Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint or even Watson’s “crush” Tom Felton. The group used to eat and drink and talk together on the set of Harry Potter, but that didn’t stop there.
Miles is close to the Harry Potter cast.
Not only stunting Emma Watson in the image of Hermione the cat, Miles also acted many other interesting scenes throughout the first 3 parts of Harry Potter. For example, when the trio participates in a human chess match, or when Hermione is petrified by the Viper, that is also done by Flick Miles. Responding on Reddit, Miles said Emma Watson is a pretty sweet, likable person. The two often “stick like glue” on set because they are girls together.
Miles has a stunt role in this scene.
Currently, Flick Miles is no longer on screen, but she often shares memories of Harry Potter and has her own podcast called Behind the Wand.
