According to the schedule from Riot Games, Saigon Buffalo’s first opponent at Worlds 2022 is the representative of Turkey – İstanbul Wildcats.
At the 2022 World Championships Kick-off Round, 12 teams will be divided into two groups A and B. In which, the representative of Vietnam – Saigon Buffalo will have to face heavyweights in Group B such as DRX or Royal Never Give. Up.
Group A: Fnatic, Beyond Gaming, DetonatioN FocusMe, Evil Geniuses, LOUD, Chiefs Esports Club.
Group B: DRX, Royal Never Give Up, Saigon Buffalo, MAD Lions, İstanbul Wildcats, Isurus.
According to the announcement from Riot Games, each group will take the top 4 teams:
The top 1 team in each group will advance directly to the Main Event. The top 3 team will play against the top 4 in the same group, the winner of this match will play with the top 2 opposite team. The team that wins the top 2 vs top 3 (or 4) will advance to the Main Event.
The Kick-off Round will take place from September 30 to October 5. Game time is from 3:00 to 10:00 (group stage), from 1:00 to 6:00 (kick-off round).
