The final match of the LCK Spring 2022 between T1 and Gen.G has just set a new record for the highest viewership in the history of the tournament.
With the last championship of the LCK Spring 2022, T1 has brought back many “unprecedented” achievements and valuable individual titles for talented young players. Most recently, the statistics site Esports Charts has published an impressive number of viewers for the LCK final match between T1 and Gen.G Esports recently.
Specifically, the highest number of viewers for the final match was 1,374,155, officially setting a record for the match with the highest number of followers in LCK history. It can be seen that the attraction of the two teams with the longest tradition of Korean League of Legends is extremely large, especially T1 and Faker are the focus of creating that impressive attraction.
The previous record of the match with the highest viewership belonged to the 2021 LCK Summer Finals between T1 and DWG KIA with the number of 1,315,849. Thus, after only one season, T1 once again broke the record they had created before.
LCK Spring 2022 was very successful with a total of 74,206,049 watch hours, of which T1 contributed more than 27 million hours. The matches between T1 and former king DWG KIA are also the focus of attention from fans throughout the group stage.
These figures do not include the number of viewers coming from China and some other countries, so the number is certainly many times larger. Every year the LCK viewership record is broken one after another, which shows that the attraction of the tournament is huge. In the future, there will be many more matches that can surpass this record of T1, and the most likely is that they will break their own record.
Information about the LCK will be updated, please stay tuned for more.
