After a long time of neglect, Konami has officially announced the future of the Silent Hill horror game series, most notably the Remake version of Silent Hill 2 on PS5.
Just mentioning the legendary horror games, it is impossible to forget the name Silent Hill. The horror series with unique and profound ideas and unforgettable implementation has always haunted generations of gamers from PS1 to this day. However, in the past few years, this franchise has gone into decline, with Konami gradually becoming stuck in maintaining it through 4 different console game generations.
In 2020, quite a few sources are suggesting that a reboot of the Silent Hill series is currently underway and has been a while so far. Konami (series owner) and Sony are said to be working together on the project, in addition to some returning members of the original Silent Hill production team. However, it was not until October 2022, that Konami officially announced the new Silent Hill projects in a special livestream.

Silent Hill 2 is so legendary and successful that many gamers think that no other game in the series will be able to topple its strong position.
