Kodoani.com – Manga “Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!” (Watashi, Nōryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne!) is based on the novel by FUNA and Itsuki Akata, which announced that the manga will end with its fifth volume this winter.
This is the second manga series adapted from the light novel series by FUNA and Akata. The manga was launched by iimAn on Square Enix’s Gangan Online app in December.
FUNA’s main novel debuted in “Shōsetsuka ni Narō!” (Be a Novelist!) in January 2016 and is still ongoing. The first book was published by Taibundo and Earth Star Novel with illustrations by Itsuki Akata in May 2016. The novel then switched publishers to Square Enix in November 2020. Square Enix will continue to publish novels from volume 14 onwards. To date, there have been a total of 18 novel volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment also released the 16th novel volume in English on July 25.
The novel’s adaptation for an anime television series premiered in October 2019, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime when it debuted in Japan.
The manga adaptation is compiled by Nekomint and debuted on Earth Star Entertainment’s Comic Earth Star website in August 2016. A fourth volume was published in Japan in October 2019, and Seven Seas Entertainment published the volume. Wednesday in October 2020.
In addition, a four-panel spin-off manga titled “Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! Everyday Misadventures!” (Watashi, Nichijō wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne!) debuted on the Comic Earth Star website in July 2019.
