In addition to Exhuma, currently outside the Vietnamese box office, there is also another film title that also exploits horror and spiritual themes, Den Mang, a new film from the land of the Golden Temple. However, in complete contrast to the Korean blockbuster title, Den Mang was severely criticized by the audience, unable to even find a single praiseworthy point.
Before its release, Temple of Mang was promoted as a film about “Thailand's scariest ghost dancer Manohra” but right from the poster, the audience speculated that this was probably an innocuous comedy horror film. punish. And sure enough, Den Mang is not even a comedy horror movie worth watching, but just a complete mess from script to image, effects, and acting. If you say you go to the theater because you watch your idol act in a movie, then it's completely wrong, because Den Mang has an unknown cast, at least in Vietnam. Names like Janey Ratchanok, Cee Siwat, Son Sonthaya, Oat Pasakorn,… make the audience watch and wonder “why are they actors?”.
On Vietnamese social networks, audiences still don't understand why the publisher was brave enough to bring this work to Vietnam. The “unfortunate” viewers who watched the movie out of curiosity must lament because this work has absolutely no interesting points. Although it has a reputation as a horror movie, the details are extremely slow, not scary, and are even compared to an 8-year-old Bride, challenging the viewer's patience. Many comments said that they had to leave halfway through or fall asleep in the theater because they didn't want to waste money and their precious time.
Comments from the audience
In terms of content, Mang Temple revolves around a deceased father who betrayed his oath, making Nang Rum's ghost angry, determined to take revenge on August (Oat Pasakorn). August will have to find an oath to undo his mistake, otherwise he will have to pay with his life. The content sounds attractive, but in fact Temple of Mang is just a work that challenges the audience's patience or even “altruism”.
