It seems there was a bit of a mistake and the old lady accidentally crashed straight up to the 2nd floor of a shopping mall.
The police force in the city of Boston has received the case of an old woman driving her car to the second floor of a shopping center in the city. The driver himself was also quite “confused” when facing the police at the scene.
Specifically, an old woman at the wheel of an SUV was on her way into the parking garage of the South Shore Plaza mall in the Boston suburb of Braintree on Thursday afternoon.
According to the police statement, it seems that the old woman took a wrong turn somewhere and drove straight into a slope through the parking garage to the second floor of the mall. The slope is intended for transporting goods, so the door automatically opens and closes, so this old woman can drive through.
After rushing to the 2nd floor, the old woman became confused and lost control of the SUV, causing many people in the center to panic. It is known that the car destroyed a playground, a few potted plants and injured one person, fortunately no one was affected.
When the police arrived, the old woman sat still in the car and was still scared.
Immediately, the police took the old woman for a medical check and evacuated everyone in the shopping center to conduct rescue for the car stuck on the 2nd floor.
The representative of the management of the shopping center said that it will quickly add signage in the parking garage, and at the same time fix details that may cause confusion for drivers.
