In the first part of Shirime, I will play a guy named John. John’s girlfriend – Sharon Meyer has disappeared and only left a message, announcing that she is about to participate in a game of courage in a deserted forest.

Unable to contact his girlfriend for a long time, John decides to go to the forest where his girlfriend takes the challenge to find her. Following the clues about the challenge and the pieces of paper left by Sharon, he learns that this forest is inhabited by a type of monster called the Shirime.

According to legend, Shirime has a human-like appearance but has no five senses but only one eye located under the slit in the buttocks. They have a hobby of blocking and scaring people walking alone at night, but actually, this type of youkai is quite harmless, and never attacks humans.

In the game, Shirime is shaped like a giant butt, with limbs and an eye between the butt slit, but no ears, nose and mouth. They live in the forest and often appear to scare, even attack people.

While performing the challenge, Sharon stole an eye on Shirime’s statue, so he was punished by this monster. To save his girlfriend in danger, John had to sacrifice one of his eyes for it. After receiving the tribute, Shirime decided to let go of him and Sharon and let them both return home safely.

At the end of the first part of Shirime, we only know the story of its two victims, John and Sharon, and the reason or origin of the monster with an eye-shaped hemorrhoid is still a mystery. Understanding the hearts of gamers, the makers of 7TaleZ and 100 Creepy Tales have decided to launch part 2 of the game in 2023.

Although currently the game has only released a trailer lasting about 15 minutes, but it can be seen that both the graphics and the plot have been taken care of a lot more than the first part. What happened in the demo of Shirime 2

Opening the demo is an image of a girl named Sharon driving into the woods to find her missing sister. It seemed that this trip was extremely dangerous, so she even brought a gun to protect herself.

After the car stopped in front of the trail leading into the forest, Sharon got out of the car, and began her journey into the endless night. With the light of her phone, she walked off the path and found a piece of paper that recorded the legend of a youkai named the Shirime.

According to the inscriptions written on it, Shirime is an extremely powerful youkai among the youkai of Japan, famous for his ability to cause chaos and destroy all things. Legend has it that anyone who dares to look into its eyes will be cursed and become blind. When the curse begins to take effect, the victim will gradually lose sight, the curse then continues to spread to other senses and organs, causing the cursed person to become slow and excruciating pain.

Going deep inside, Sharon saw a place like an abandoned chapel but locked, if she continued further into the forest, she would find two other papers about the monster. The first was a paper that mentioned that the legend of Shirime was once again rising. That it regularly searches for people walking alone at night, jumping out and cursing them with its eyes in the slits of its ass. Shirime’s appearance frightened humans, so they tried their best to appease this strange youkai, even sacrificing humans.

The second sheet of paper was a drawing of three Shirimes, warning that this forest was not inhabited by only one Shirime. The normal Shirime is named Lucas, the one with the pine tree on it is Marguerite, and the black one that looks ferocious is Jack.

After opening the chapel door, Sharon stepped inside and found a third piece of paper that talked about breaking Shirime’s curse. That, even in modern times, there are still many people who are blind because of Shirime’s words, and cannot be solved or cured by conventional medical means. The cursed person must accept being blind for life, or worse, losing their life. Some people believe that there is a way to break the curse, but to do so requires a lot of determination and courage. The end of the paper did not say anything more about how to solve the curse, but only left a sentence “take an eye for an eye.

At this moment, a Shirime with the shape of a big butt with an eye in the middle of the slit suddenly appeared above the chapel and rushed down to block Sharon’s way. Based on the characteristics of her body, she knew that this Shirime was called Marguerite, and immediately ran away, but the other two, Lucas and Jack, surrounded her.

No way, Sharon only had to pull out his gun to defend himself and try to escape their pursuit. After repeatedly shooting at their eye-shaped hemorrhoids, she successfully defeated the deformed Shirimes. But right after that, she felt dizzy for no reason, the surrounding space suddenly changed into a dark land.

A dining table appeared next to Sharon, on the table placed an eye with the words “If you want to save Jennifer, you must eat the eye on the table”. Without a moment’s hesitation, she reached for the eye and put it in her mouth. The scene darkens, a creepy woman swoops toward the screen, and the demo ends with Sharon lying unconscious on the ground.

Is Shirime a curse?

That’s a summary of what happened in the Shirime 2: The Genesis of Butt-Eye demo. First of all, we can see, the female lead of part 2 is named Sharon, so it is highly likely that she is Sharon Meyer, the girlfriend of the male lead John in part 1.

In a way, the manufacturer has bleached Sharon white like using omo with a very convincing reason to go to the forest. If in part 1, Sharon was mentioned to come to this forest with the purpose of testing her courage, in part 2, her purpose was changed to finding her sister who was lost in the forest. This new excuse still sounds a bit reluctant, but at least it helped Sharon get rid of the reputation of the eat-and-seek girlfriend in the first part.

Based on what I’ve found in the game, I’ve tentatively speculated that Sharon’s sister Jennifer came to this forest for some reason and was cursed by Shirime. However, through the pieces of paper found in the game, we know that this big butt monster only steals other people’s eyesight, but has not heard of the ability to hide people like being hidden by ghosts. Perhaps the producer will talk more about this later, so for the time being, let’s assume that Jennifer was hidden by the Shirimes.

Continuing, in the final cutscene, we see that if she wants to save her sister, Sharon must swallow the eye lying on the plate. At the beginning of the game, we also pick up a note that says, those who touch the blue eye will be cursed by Shirime.

Putting these two together, one can speculate that Shirime’s curse is a form of curse that can be transferred from one person to another. Which means Jennifer was cursed at first, and the Shirimes used her as bait to lure Sharon here. The act of Sharon swallowing the eye helps to break Jennifer’s curse, but also reverses the curse on her.

The purpose of this action is unknown at the moment, but I think it has something to do with the Shirime reassurance sacrifice mentioned in the game. Perhaps, the sacrifice was not supposed to remove the curse of Shirime, but on the contrary, to turn another person into Shirime.

If we pay attention, we will see that, unlike the first part, in this part, up to 3 Shirimes appear together, strange in that these Shirimes have different names. You might say, it’s okay for monsters to have names. But, in the game clearly mentioned, Shirime is the name of a monster in Japanese legend, but the names of the 3 Shirimes we see in the game are English names, even divided into black and white, monsters. things that are also racist?

Not to mention, they can also be defeated with guns. I mean, biochemical monsters that are eliminated by physical attack are understandable. But Shirime is a legendary creature, even if you attack it with physics, the weapon must be enchanted or blessed, but have you ever watched a horror movie with a policeman shooting like a child? Have you fallen yet? There’s no such thing as nonsense, if there was, the filmmaker would have collected a basket of bricks and stones to build a house.

Combining all of the above points together, we will have a hypothesis, that these 3 Shirimes were originally normal people like Sharon, but then they were cursed, unable to break so. just became Shirime. That is, they only changed their shape into a moving butt with an eye-shaped hemorrhoid in the middle of the butthole, and were still human in nature, so they lost their lives to physical impacts.

In addition, the scene of Sharon lying down at the end of the video is quite similar to the ending of part 1, and if you remember, John’s story in part 1 is still open. So with the above evocative image, I guess that, after Sharon swallowed that eye, she became a moving butt, and is the same Shirime that chased John in part 1.

As for John, after not finding his girlfriend for a while, he went to find Sharon and was chased by her in the form of a Shirime. In the end, to save his girlfriend, he sacrificed an eye, helping Sharon return to his normal human form. But that means, the curse is transferred to John, and he becomes the next Shirime.

Of course, that’s just my theory, but what the truth is, we have to wait for the complete version to be released this year to find out. In the immediate future, we can see that part 2 of Shirime has been upgraded in terms of graphics, butts with hemorrhoids are also made more detailed, contributing to helping gamers quit after playing.
