On the evening of January 9, the final day of the PUBG Mobile Finals of the FBang SEA EC 2021 tournament officially ended. The 16 strongest teams of the Group stage went through 15 matches together to find the most deserving name for the prize of up to 10,000 USD. With the advantages gained from the previous two days of competition, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia are the three potential countries that have the opportunity to directly compete for the top spot. So, the last 5 matches of the PUBG Mobile Finals framework took place in the tension, drama and suspense of many unexpected elements.
At the end of the 2nd day of competition, FaZe Clan still maintained a destructive form as the team topped the rankings with 2 times WWCD. In contrast, Geek Farm – a powerful force of Malaysia, although they do not have many kills, their number of out-top matches can only be counted on the fingers.
Meanwhile, two representatives of Vietnam, Eagle Esport and D’Xavier, are struggling in 5th and 6th places with a point difference of nearly 30 points compared to FAZE. Originally, our 10 boys missed too many opportunities when they were continuously defeated early in the previous competition days. With only 15 games, DX had 3 times out of the top and 2E also had to stop at the bottom 2 times. Therefore, doing their best to recover what was lost is exactly what Vietnam are aiming for on their final day of competition.
After 2 days of unsuccessful competition, 2E and DX were forced to break their best efforts to be able to rise to higher positions on the rankings.
However, survival is not easy when they encounter the obstacles of the Thai people. Right from the beginning of the tournament, two Thai teams, INFIN and FAZE, became the nightmare of every match thanks to their fearsome hunting ability. In the first match, FAZE-BeeR11 had a 3rd phase of 2E members. INFIN is also the team that defeated DX to prevent all efforts of the Vietnamese boys to climb to the top in the last 5 games of the season. Realizing the risks involved in getting into fights early, DX and 2E switched to a slower approach in the later games to increase their survivability.

Luck came to Vietnam when in the 3rd match, 2E had a phase to wipe out the FAZE team squad right after they decided to attack directly into the defensive position that 2E was controlling. In order to prevent the superiority of the Thais, GeeK Farm switched to “slaughter” mode as soon as they captured the house in the center of the 5th board in game 4. GEEK destroyed the OE teams in turn. , INFIN, BUAH… and earned a huge amount of points to keep them safe in the final match.

At this point, most of the teams were no longer able to compete for the top position due to the large score gap. Only 2E is 20 points away from the top 3 – the only team that has a chance to compete and win 3rd place out of the remaining 13 teams. Not surprisingly, 2E limited the fight early and captured the mountainside area near the center of the 6th. They in turn defeated 2 Thai teams, GE, BUAH, GEEK… and earned themselves up to 9 kills. impressive. And so, 2E deservedly earned themselves the top 3 after relentless efforts to score points in all 3 days of the match.
2E excelled in overtaking FAZE to get 3rd when they achieved WWCD in the final game.
With top performance and good coordination ability, Geek Farm has officially hosted the champion of the FBang SEA EC 2021 tournament in PUBG Mobile. Right after them, as the strongest representative in Thailand, The Infinity won second place and Vietnam’s Eagle Esport with an emotional performance. Winning the tournament earned GEEK a prize pool of up to $10,000. Thereby, the Malaysian boys also became the first team to enroll in the gold table of the prestigious FBang SEA EC tournament.

The tournament is not only meant to be the first tournament of a major annual event in Southeast Asia but is also considered to become an opportunity for e-sports athletes to rub shoulders before the 31st SEA Games.
