The Game Awards brought the first images of the next Monster Hunter game.
2025 looks set to be a big year for Capcom. The publisher announced the release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2 last week and recently they revealed another game that will definitely be on the list of good games of 2025. At The Game Awards 2023, the publisher has revealed the sequel to Monster Hunter World. Oddly, the new game isn’t called Monster Hunter World 2, but instead, it’s called Monster Hunter Wild.
The trailer takes viewers to a dusty desert world where several herds of small creatures are migrating, much denser than what has appeared in the game series. Additionally, the video also shows off a new bird-like mount for Hunters. Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam in 2025, but it will be a while before fans get updates on the game. Capcom has confirmed that they won’t reveal more about the game until next summer.
