Wonder Woman (re)came
Princess Diana diligently played cameo in the recent DC movie after Shazam! 2, The Flash is the next project with her participation. When Batman and The Flash chase bad guys in Gotham, Wonder Woman shows up to help.
Classic series
Many famous blockbusters appear in The Flash, such as Scooby Doo – one of the early projects written by James Gunn, or Back to the Future – the film has a change in actors when the timeline is interrupted by Barry Allen break.
Grayson’s Store
Opposite Barry Allen’s small apartment was a store called Grayson’s. The name is reminiscent of Dick Grayson, also the first generation Robin.
Warner Bros. tacit recognition of Zack Snyder’s Justice League
There are two episodes in The Flash that show DC and Warner Bros. recognized Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League. One is the fact that Iris West met Barry Allen many years ago (when he saved her in The Flash form), and The Flash used to go back in time by 1 second which only happened in the Snyder Cut.
A series of Batman appeared
Besides Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton’s Batman versions playing big roles, The Flash also has other Batman versions that excite audiences. The first is Adam West’s version of Batman from the ’60s TV series. This version appears in the speed force zone when the universes are about to collide.
Also featured in the segment above is Lewis Wilson’s version of Batman from the 1943 series.
Finally, George Clooney’s version of Batman. The actor appeared with the image of Bruce Wayne in the final scene instead of Ben Affleck, showing that Barry Allen may not have really succeeded.
Superman and Supergirl “Golden Age”
In the multiverse collision segment, the old Superman and Supergirl image suddenly appeared. Two classic characters played by Christopher Reeve and Helen Slater appear side by side, peering into the perturbation of the multiverse before Barry Allen successfully averts disaster.
Nicolas Cage’s Superman
Besides Christopher Reeve, Nicolas Cage’s “faulty” version of Superman also appeared. In the scene, the character is fighting a giant spider.
Joker’s “Laughing Bag”
At the “old” Batman’s Bat Cave, Barry Allen #2 found a small bag of laughter. This is the Joker’s “toy” in the 1989 Batman movie starring Michael Keaton. In addition, another version of Cesar Romero’s Joker also appeared in The Flash’s “multiverse collision” scene.
The Flash Jay Garrick
A version of The Flash appeared briefly for a few seconds in the “collision” scene. It’s Jay Garrick’s version of The Flash (the first The Flash) played by Teddy Sears in the CW’s hit series.
The director contributed to the fun
“Father” of The Flash – Andy Muschietti also appeared in his film. He plays a reporter whose breakfast is stolen by Barry Allen before he arrives at his father’s trial.
Aquaman
The hero of Atlantis makes a surprise appearance in the post-credits of The Flash. He had a “drink” with Barry Allen but then got drunk, even fell into a puddle by the roadside and fell asleep.
The Flash premieres on June 16, 2023.
