Producer Tet In Hell Village continues to return with The Soul Eater, a spooky horror project with strong Vietnamese characteristics.
On November 7, director duo Tran Huu Tan and producer Hoang Quan – the team that created the popular Tet In Hell Village series – released the poster and teaser of the movie project Soul Eater, revealing The script revolves around the story of searching for the origin of the ancient magic of Skull Wine.
The story in the movie The Soul Eater chose to be told in the fantasy horror genre. The movie’s teaser opens the journey to find the origin of Skull Wine – an ancient folk art rumored to have appeared in the early Hell village. People whisper that those who practice this mysterious witchcraft will possess the power to take over the body and soul, command soldiers and demons.
Continuing to set the Hell Village setting and exploiting stories inspired by folk culture, the poster of The Soul Eater impresses with the mouse wedding procession in the gloomy bamboo forest with the central character being the newlywed couple. lang – mysterious bride. Director Tran Huu Tan revealed the inspiration behind the details of the mouse wedding and the project’s connection to Hell Village: “In the movie The Soul Eater, the audience will see a very unique mouse wedding. So The reason for this custom is because the villagers always want to remind themselves that they are descendants of old bandits, hiding like rats in this village and do not want to commit the same crimes that their ancestors committed. For the Village people, this wedding ritual is also a concept of dispelling evil and waiting for new beginnings.”
The Soul Eater is a movie adapted from the original novel of the same name by writer Thao Trang, which was released online in parallel with the movie.
