After months of waiting, the official twitter page of the movie Suzume no Torimaji has announced the release date of the work. Accordingly, the movie’s official release date is November 11, 2022.
The movie’s content focuses on Suzume, a 17-year-old girl who meets a young man looking for a door. Suzume found a strange door among the ruins and opened it. But for that reason many doors began to open all over Japan, causing disaster. Now, Suzume must shut them all down to save Japan.
However, November 11 is only the release time of the film in Japan, and for those who regularly watch anime movies, you will know that usually when a work comes out, it takes at least 3 months to release. The film was shown in Vietnamese cinemas. Therefore, for fans who are looking forward to the release of the work in Vietnam, it will probably have to wait until early next year.
Suzume no Tojimari is an upcoming Japanese fantasy adventure film produced by CoMix Wave Films and distributed by Toho. The film follows a high school girl and a mysterious young man trying to prevent a series of disasters across Japan.
This is the latest work written and directed by the “witch of sorrows” Makoto Shinkai, and is also the follow-up work since Weathering with You (2019). The film features the voices of Nanoka Hara and Hokuto Matsumura, with character designs by Masayoshi Tanaka, animation direction by Kenichi Tsuchiya, art direction by Takumi Tanji, and music by Radwimps and Kazuma Jinnouchi.
Suzume is scheduled to hit theaters in Japan in November 2022 and internationally in early 2023.
The film is about Suzume, a 17-year-old girl living in a quiet town in the Kyushu region, southwestern Japan. The story begins when Suzume meets a young man looking for a “door”. The two went together and found an old door scene at an abandoned house in the mountains. As if drawn by something, Suzume reached out her hand towards the door and from there, unfortunate events occurred all over Japan.
The film is a journey through Japan to lock the “doors of disaster” as well as an adventure and battle in the modern world to find the maturity and freedom of a girl.
