As of September 21, the number of exhibitors at Tokyo Game Show 2023 reached 787 and the number of booths was 2,682, the largest number ever. Among the game manufacturers participating in the exhibition, there are 381 from Japan (of which 11 exhibitors registered online) and 406 exhibitors from abroad (of which 30 exhibitors registered online ), a record high, about 1.3 times higher than last year.

A total of 2,291 games were displayed this time, covering many platforms such as console, PC and mobile devices, of which the main focus was, 324 mobile game products were introduced and promoted. As for Chinese game makers, NetEase announced the 2.5D action-adventure game Rusty Rabbit with the release of a CG trailer. It is known that this game is a collaboration between NetEase Games and NITRO+. Fate/Zero writer Gen Urobuchi and Mahō Shōjo Madoka are responsible for planning the initial project and the game is expected to launch in 2024. The game is currently available on Steam, but the price has not yet been announced. .
Through the CG trailer, the game has a cartoon style and Rusty Rabbit is set in a snowy wasteland. The mysterious character is trapped in a strange icy world dominated by rabbits thousands of years after humans abandoned Earth for other planets. Tokyo Game Show 2023 organizers said that the number of live attendees was 243,238 people over the course of 4 days (September 21-24). This is double the number of attendees at last year’s show and close to the 262,076 in-person attendees in 2019.
