Recently, the 26th issue of Weekly Shōnen Magazine announced that Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers manga will officially come to an end from issue 27 (to be released on June 2).
The content is about Takemichi, a virgin unemployed youth, who learns that the first and only girl he dated since high school has died. After an accident, he finds himself transported back to his middle school days. He vows to change the future and keep that girl, and in order to do so, he decides to rise to become the most notorious gang boss in the Kantou region.
Currently, the total sales of the manga have reached nearly 15 million copies. On the other hand, Mantan Web reports that sales of the Tokyo Revengers manga have increased 6.4 times since the anime’s debut.
Wakui launched the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2017, and the Kodansha publisher has published 21 volumes for the manga. The anime adaptation begins airing on April 10, 2021.
