Goodbye, Don Glees! is an original film produced by Madhouse and directed by Atsuko Ishizuka. It’s a coming-of-age story of a trio of boys who call themselves Don Glees. What begins as an exciting exploration of the wild mountains quickly turns into something much more serious that could threaten their future.
Atsuko Ishizuka brought her characters to Antarctica through her final series. The film will be released in February 2022, but the international release date may be different.

4. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the 21st feature film about the Seven Dragon Balls and the fourth to be written and designed by Akira Toriyama himself. The film is about the revival of the Red Ribbon Army. The evil organization that Goku destroyed when he was a kid has now found a way to create much stronger cyborgs and they’re back to the business of world domination.
This is the second movie to carry “Dragon Ball Super” in its title with the first being 2018’s Dragon Ball Super: Broly. However, unlike the edgy classic anime style they use in Broly, Super Hero will present the story in a separate CGI interface. Dragon Ball: Super Hero news mentioned that Akira Toriyama is really passionate and excited about working on this project. The reason is simply because this is a new film from legendary director Makoto Shinkai. Suzume no Tojimari is about a 17-year-old girl named Suzume who finds an old door in an abandoned building. She suddenly felt the urge to open the door, which caused similar doors to appear all over Japan. Not only that, countless calamities also befall wherever there is a door. So begins Suzume’s adventure as she travels across Japan to close mysterious doors and prevent disaster.
Just like the previous Makoto Shinkai movies, Suzume no Tojimari is a beautiful mix of magical fantasy and coming-of-age drama. The film is slated for a late 2022 release in Japan. The international release date is still unknown at this point.
