According to Sensor Tower data, Garena’s Free Fire (including Free Fire MAX) topped the list of the most downloaded games globally for July.
Free Fire reached nearly 21 million downloads. India is the game’s largest market, contributing 27.7% of downloads; followed by Indonesia and Brazil, accounting for 9.4% and 8.3% respectively. On July 7, the game celebrated its 6th anniversary of release and launched a weekly limited-time Craftland game mode.
The ranking of the 10 most downloaded mobile games was recently announced (on the right are the games with the highest growth rate of downloads).
Notably, this new mode coincides with the time with the highest downloads, proving that the update is highly effective. In addition, Free Fire players can receive accessories, commemorative costumes through many different activities. This series of activities further strengthens the number one position in the list of the most downloaded mobile games according to the new announcement.

Meanwhile, Roblox ranked 2nd with 20.4 million downloads. Brazil is the game’s largest market, contributing 12.9% of downloads; The US market followed with 12.2% and the Mexican market ranked third with 7.3%. In July, the game teamed up with the famous cosmetic brand Fenty Beauty to bring the experience to life.
Players participate in activities such as treasure hunts, mazes, and team up with friends to receive items. In addition, the release of the limited edition Puffy Puffer Fish item in July, as well as updates designed to improve the experience, have effectively contributed to the increase in downloads.
The remaining three games in the top 5 are Gametion’s Ludo King, Miniclip’s Subway Surfers and Tencent’s PUBG Mobile.
In July 2023, global mobile game downloads on the App Store and Google Play surpassed 4.74 billion times, an increase of 6.8% from the previous month. The Indian market ranked first with 833 million downloads, accounting for 17.5% of the total global downloads. The Brazilian market ranks second with 9% of downloads and third is the US market with 8.4%.
India is still the leading market in terms of downloads.
Tencent’s Arena Breakout mobile shooting game was released in overseas markets in mid-July and attracted wide attention from players. With an immersive combat experience and unique tactical strategy, this mobile game has entered the third place in the list of growth in downloads.
Sensor Tower data only counts the first install of an App Store or Google Play account, multiple installs of the same account on different devices or the same device will not be counted.
