After the controversial film project “Third Wife” 3 years ago, Nguyen Phuong Tra My has now become a university student. She did not participate in film projects, but focused on her learning path. At the age of 18, Tra My wanted to get out of her comfort zone, waiting for her chance to shine.
Nguyen Phuong Tra My is famous for playing the female lead in the movie Third Wife (2019). At that time, the film was controversial because Tra My acted in a hot scene when she was 13 years old. The film had to stop showing in Vietnam after less than a week in theaters. However, Tra My still attracts attention thanks to her impressive acting.
Talking to Tien Phong, Tra My said that she had just graduated from high school and became a new student majoring in Sociology at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City. She said studying is the main priority right now. Besides, she did not forget to hone her acting ability.
Since the third wife’s controversy, she played the MV “I’m afraid I know you’re still in love” by singer Juun Dang Dung and sometimes attends entertainment events. Tra My confided that she is still waiting for the right project for her.
“My goal when acting is not to be famous, I want to be involved in good projects, have good roles, so I am not in a hurry to return to the screen,” said the 18-year-old actor.
Tra My always receives the support of her family. “Although supporting me to pursue art, my family did not push me to participate in many projects but gave me the freedom to choose what is right for me,” she shared.
After going to university, actress Wife Ba had many orientations, preparing for the artistic path. According to Tra My, when she turned 18, she realized it was time to step out of her comfort zone.
During the pause in acting, Tra My received many casting invitations. The actress born in 2004 considers herself to be a difficult person in choosing the script. She only participated in the casting of the project she really liked.
When asked about her outlook on life, Nguyen Phuong Tra My said: “I think I am still young to give a firm opinion because I am still changing day by day. My role model both professionally and personally is actress Natalie Portman, but my goal is still to make myself better every day. I don’t think I have to be like anyone else.”
