Recently, at Comic Con Brazil 2022, Marvel Studios officially revealed the first trailer for the blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (Guardians of the Galaxy part 3).
This film is expected to be the end of the journey of the guards in the Marvel cinematic universe (MCU), with the full presence of familiar members, and besides, new characters that most notably Adam Warlock and High Evolutionary.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set after the events of part 2, released in 2017. At the San Diego Comic-Con event in July, director James Gunn shared that this movie will spend a lot of time. Time to discover Rocket’s background and life before forming the Guardians of the Galaxy with Peter Quill. However, the trailer above reveals much more than that.
Guardians of the Galaxy will bring Gamora back, but the version comes from 2014 – Photo: Marvel Studios
The first notable point is the absence of Gamora for most of the length of the trailer. It is true that the character was killed off in Avengers: Infinity War, but another version of her time-traveled from 2014 to the reality of the MCU in Avengers: Endgame. After that, this version decided to stay here to find out his true purpose in life, especially after Thanos was destroyed.
The trailer shows that the Guardians have gone through a long period of “silence”. However, because they wanted to find Gamora (2014 version), and at the same time wanted to protect the universe, they once again gathered and traveled together to do justice. The trailer also shows that Gamora will definitely join them, because in some segments, it can be seen that she did not hesitate to help Mantis, Drax or Nebula to fight the enemy.
What’s to be expected, however, is the Guardian’s reaction to the new version of Thanos’ adopted daughter, as well as the influence this character has on the future of the MCU. It should be noted that the arrival of Gamora from another timeline could throw the multiverse into chaos and cause an invasion, leading to the collapse of one or more realities. .
Adam Warlock will also officially join the MCU in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – Marvel Studios photo
The next point of interest in the new trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the opening stage of Adam Warlock, the character that was “taunted” in the post-credits scene of the 2nd movie. In the original, Warlock is one of the most powerful entities of the Marvel universe and plays a role. a key role in the infinity war with Thanos. However, Marvel Studios has “hidden” this character for many years and did not even let him appear in Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame.
Adam Warlock used to play both the main and the villain roles in the Marvel comics. So, at the moment, it is difficult to say in which direction director James Gunn will exploit this character. The scenes of Warlock in the trailer above were also shot individually, except for the scene where he attacks Nebula with his powerful punch.
According to many sources, High Evolutionary will become the main villain in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and this character himself is also featured in the trailer above. So, most likely, at first, Adam Warlock will become an opponent of the Guardians, before the two sides turn enemies into friends and together fight the bigger villain.

Speaking of High Evolutionary, this is the nickname of the evil Herbert Wyndham, a scientist who specializes in gene research of creatures in the universe to create new species, hybrids between humans and animals (New Men). . The Guardians have clashed with this race from the very first moments in the trailer. All of them have a head that is quite similar to that of humans on Earth, but the limbs are hybrid from many different animals.
It is difficult to confirm what High Evolutionary is planning in this movie. However, the appearance of Peter Quill and his teammates will certainly hinder his plans, forcing him to find a way to eliminate them.
Rocket Raccoon will be the central character of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – Photo: Marvel Studios
The last notable detail is Rocket, a core member of the Guardians, and likely also the center of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. As mentioned above, this movie will explore more deeply about Rocket’s background and past. In the comics, this character comes from a planet located in the Keystone Quadrant star system, and is considered a wasteland for genetically modified animals. This is especially in line with the ideals and plots pursued by the villain High Evolutionary.
Not only that, but it seems that Rocket will have to go through a huge event that his friends, and the audience, are still not ready to accept. If we “look” closely at the trailer, we can realize that Rocket appears in many particularly emotional moments, from words to gestures and actions. There has been a lot of speculation surrounding that one (or more) members of the Guardians will die in their final solo movie. And Rocket is probably the name that makes many fans feel low and anxious.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will still welcome the return of familiar faces. That includes Chris Pratt (as Peter Quill), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Vin Diesel). . Meanwhile, cult actor Will Poulter will play Adam Warlock, and Chukwudi Iwuji transforms into the villain High Evolutionary.
As expected, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released on 5/5/2023.
