Kadokawa dropped a trailer for Rumble Garanndoll, the colorful new mechanic comedy series from the studio behind Assassination Classroom.
Kadokawa has released one final trailer to get fans excited about the new anime series Rumble Garanndollwill premiere as part of Funimation’s fall 2021 anime.
The trailer features an energetic style, a quirky atmosphere, and an anime chibi style mech. Rumble Garanndoll is an homage and parody of the Mecha genre, matching the humorous, whimsical tones of studio Lerche’s many other projects, including Assassination Classroom and Danganronpa: The Animation.
The original sci-fi series sees an army from a parallel world fight against real-world Japan in a war with giant robots. Lerche and Egg Firm (Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.) are co-producing Rumble Garanndoll with Larx Entertainment (Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’) ) supports 3DCG animation for the series. Masaomi Andō (Seven Senses of the Reunion, Vampire Knight Guilty) is directing the show, with Makoto Uezu (Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, The Heroic Legend of Arslan: Dust Storm Dance) supervising series composition, Keiko Kurosawa (Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Persona 4: The Animation) is designing the characters and Yūsuke Shirato (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Ascendance of a Bookworm) is composing the music.
Mia Regina will perform the opening theme song, “Fever Dream,” and Aina Suzuki will perform the ending theme song, “Reverse-Rebirth,” and voice Yuki Aoba.
Rumble Garanndoll’s cast includes some famous and experienced voice actors such as Ai Fairouz (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon) voicing Rin Akagi, Rina Hidaka (That Time I Got) Reincarnated as a Slime, The Rising of the Shield Hero) as Hayate Makami, Tomokazu Sugita (The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments, Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia ) voices Balzac Yamada, Shiori Izawa Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table, Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale) voices Misa Kuroki and Shino Shimoji voices Yakumo Kamizuru. The film marks the voice acting debut of Takemitsu Fukuchi voicing Anju Munakata.
Rumble Garanndoll premieres October 11 in Japan on AT-X, Tokyo MX, Yomiuri TV, and BS11 with Funimation emulating the series outside of Asia.
