Not only stealing salary, coach Peter Zhang also stole money from selling cars of SwordArt – former TSM support.
More than 2 months ago, the TSM team fired manager and coach Peter Zhang for financial allegations, thereby coordinating with the parties to investigate the complaint from the player. Up to now, TSM has officially confirmed that Zhang has stolen more than 300,000 USD (approximately 7 billion VND) in salary from TSM players.
More specifically, the complaint alleges that Zhang is stealing the player’s salary by acting as an intermediary in paying the players’ salaries.
In addition, Zhang also stole the car sales of former TSM support SwordArt. Accordingly, SwordArt asked Zhang to sell the car for him because he would not be in North America anymore, the car sold for $80,000 (about 1.86 billion VND) but Zhang refused to pay for SwordArt.
Previously, Zhang took to Twitter to explain that he only “missed” to take money to sell cars and borrow money from players because his grandmother was sick, but did not steal anyone’s salary.
But recently, TSM has verified the following behaviors of Zhang:
– Zhang transferred a total of about 250,000 USD in salary from 2 TSM players to himself and 3rd parties.
– Zhang sold a car to a player who was leaving the US to return to Asia. The car was sold for 80,000 but the player did not receive the sale, only after the player threatened to report to the authorities did Zhang pay $ 35,000. To date, the remaining $45,000 has not been paid.
– Zhang tried to borrow money from 8 TSM players and their employees, including players that Zhang didn’t manage. According to eyewitnesses, Zhang claimed the money was needed to pay for his grandmother’s medical treatment in China. Accordingly, Zhang borrowed each person from 1,500 to 22,000 USD. Two players lent Zhang $15,000 and Zhang repaid about $10,500. Upon learning of this, TSM fired Zhang immediately.
As for the reason, the fact that Zhang can steal player salaries is because Zhang has cooperated with HanYi (former Victory Five coach) who is currently a Talent Agent in China. So the players “sponsored” by Zhang and HanYi will have their salaries transferred by TSM through Zhang, which is the reason why Zhang has been quietly stealing charity money all this time.
