In the past few days, the Vietnamese gaming community has been shaken by the news that a PUBG Mobile player has been banned from global competition for 1 year for using third-party software. This behavior is considered unacceptable, especially as a professional player. The announcement was broadcast right on the PUBG Mobile Esports Vietnam Facebook page.

With this action, player Nguyen Tuan Khoa of the ROG Phone Vietnam team will be banned from playing for one year in official PUBG Mobile tournaments globally. The online community said that with the advantage of the ROG Phone device that this player continues to use third-party software, it is difficult to accept.
This information is making the domestic gaming community feel embarrassed because as a professional player, it should not be possible to let such behavior appear.

However, this is not the first time that Vietnamese players have been punished globally for using hacks. At the beginning of this year, a Vietnamese Valorant player was also condemned by the international gaming community for using hacks while competing. Even the gaming community reacted so much that Riot Games decided to raise the penalty for this player from 12 months to 36 months.
According to the announcement of the Valorant homepage at the time, it said: “VALORANT Esports has banned Tat Cam “Nomsenpai” Khon for cheating in VCT’s official matches. This player will not be eligible to participate in all tournaments. Riot’s official competition for 36 months, starting January 26, 2022. The player’s team, “Ice Cee Jay Too”, will be eliminated from Phase 1 of VCT APAC 2022.”

According to Riot: Tat Cam “Nomsenpai” Khon violated section 7.2.5 of the Valorant Champions Tour – Global Competition regulations by cheating in the qualifying round of the VCT 2022 Phase 1 Vietnam Open. This regulation states: Article 7.2.5 prohibits all forms of fraud. Any changes to the Valorant game app by a team or team member are strictly prohibited. The use of any kind of cheat device or cheat program will be considered a violation.

Thus, within a year, Vietnamese Esports had to witness two cases of fraud from two professional players. It is an unacceptable shame.
