Besides self-publishing Teamfight Tactics in Southeast Asia, Riot GAmes will also launch DTCL Esports tournaments in this region.
At the end of 2022, Riot Games officially took over the game League of Legends and the TFT mode of Southeast Asia. VNG will be a strategic partner and release this game in Vietnam.
In addition to self-publishing Teamfight Tactics in Southeast Asia, Riot Games will also launch Teamfight Tactics Esports tournaments in this region. In season 8, players in Vietnam and Southeast Asia will have the opportunity to compete with the world’s top players in major tournaments such as the Asian Cup and World Championship through the SEA Round.

Meanwhile, players in Korea, Japan, and Oceania will participate in multiple separate tournaments to advance to the Asia Cup and World Championship.
There are 5 different servers running the Tactics Arena and there are 2 ways to participate for SEA players: Vietnam / 4 Other Regions (SG/ID/MY, TH, PH, MW/MO/HK).

Vietnam Open Qualifier #1 (February 4 – February 5)
– Quantity: 256 players
Competition Format
– Day 1: players will be divided into groups of 8 and each group will play 5 rounds. Teams will be swapped after the first 2 matches. Top 64 players will advance on Day 2.
– Day 2: players will be divided into groups of 8 and each group will play 5 rounds. Teams will be swapped after the first 2 matches
– Top 10 players will advance to SEA Regional Cup #1
Vietnam Open Qualifier #2 (February 11 ~ Feb 12)
– Quantity: 256 players (For all players who failed in Open Qualifier #1 and players on the waiting list)
Competition Format:
– Day 1: players will be divided into groups of 8 and each group will play 5 rounds. Teams will be swapped after the first 2 matches. Top 64 players will advance on Day 2.
– Day 2: players will be divided into groups of 8 and each group will play 5 rounds. Teams will be swapped after the first 2 matches.
– Top 10 players will advance to SEA Regional Cup #1
SEA Regional Cup #1 (Feb 17 – Feb 19)
– Quantity: 32 players
Competition Format:
– Day 1: players will be divided into groups of 8 and each group will play 6 rounds. Teams will be swapped after the first 2 matches. The top 16 players will advance on Day 2.
– Day 2: players will be divided into groups of 8 and each group will play 6 rounds. Teams will be swapped after the first 2 matches.
– Top 8 players will advance on Day 3.
– Day 3: Checkmate Formula – players will compete until the first player reaches 18 points, thereby taking the 1st place in the round and becoming the SEA Champion

– Day 2 Loss Bracket Finals – players will play 3 rounds per group. Top 2 players will advance on Day 3.
– Day 3 of the Grand Final – players will compete in 5 rounds per group. Top 2 will advance to the Selected Area Open Qualifier

– Top 8 players will advance on Day 3.
Day 3: Checkmate Formula – players will compete until the first player reaches 18 points thereby taking the 1st place in the round and becoming the ATS Champion.
Total Prize: $20,000+ (Regional Finals seeding for Top 2 in the KR/JP/OCE region).
