Perkz will be the nucleus of Vitality’s “revolution”.
Team Vitality introduced the LEC Winter 2023 roster on December 23. As expected in the 2023 pre-season transfer window, Vitality’s League of Legends roster will revolve around the biggest superstar: Perkz. The remaining four players include three newcomers and one member who has yet to make their European debut – including Neon, Kaiser, Photon and Bo.
Three of these players have expired contracts in the past two months and all of them are rumored to join Vitality in the 2023 season. On the other hand, Bo has been the organization’s sub jungler since June 2022. and has now been promoted to the main squad. If you are a fan of the LPL, it is no wonder that Bo showed great potential in the colors of FunPlus Phoenix and eStar Young before being involved in a drama indirectly involved in match-fixing. Although Bo hasn’t played for Vitality yet, he impressed LEC fans with his incredible moves in Solo Queue. Even many video clips have become viral on social networks in the past half year.
The former FPX jungler isn’t Vitality’s only foreign player next season. Photon is the second after a year with the T1 Challengers roster. Previously, this top laner also played for the youth teams of Liiv SANDBOX and Gen.G. Vitality’s two most experienced rookies are Kaiser and Neon. Gunner Neon once fell into unemployment after Misfits Gaming said goodbye to the League of Legends team and “sold himself” to Team Heretics.
As for Kaiser, this support has been an integral part of the MAD Lions for the past three years, dominating the 2021 LEC and reaching the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) Semifinals last year. Kaiser lost his footing after the 2022 World Championship after MAD was eliminated in the Play-In Round and decided not to renew his contract. Instead, the organization signed another support, Hylissang from Fnatic.
LEC Winter 2023 will kick off at 00:00 on January 22nd. In the opening week, Vitality will face off against Fnatic, Heretics, and MAD respectively – all of which have been carefully prepared for the tournament with a lot of format changes to increase competition in the region and create international drive.
