Warner Bros. has officially announced that they will give the green light for part 2 of the Mortal Kombat “bomb”, which surprised many fans.
It’s Warner Bros again with extremely confusing decisions, and this time it’s not just wrapped in DECU anymore, it’s related to another extremely famous franchise, Mortal Kombat. Accordingly, Warner Bros. gave the green light for the second part of Mortal Kombat, even though the film’s revenue only stopped at $83.6 million on top of $50 million in production. Part 2 of Mortal Kombat is written by the screenwriter of the Moon Knight series.
There are many reasons for the failure of the film, but we cannot deny that the quality of Mortal Kombat 2021 is extremely low with “rather alum” graphics along with an extremely fragmentary and absurd script. . Although the scriptwriter tried to cram a lot of details to please the fans, it was still not enough to save a movie with too many weaknesses.
As for Warner Bros., we probably don’t need to question this decision anymore, WB is famous for many confusing decisions and “goes into the ground” with hit series. Especially with the DCEU when even DC fans have to admit that the current DC Cinematic Universe is no different from a “mixed hot pot”.
