INTERNATIONAL_ Warner Bros. and NetEase today announced Harry Potter Magic Awakened, the 2022 free-to-play card game (CCG).
Starting today, players in the Americas, Europe and Oceania are invited to pre-register on Google Play and the official website. Pre-registrants will be notified when the game goes live and receive exclusive in-game rewards at launch. The game will launch on iOS and Android in 2022.
Co-developed and published by Warner Bros. Games and NetEase Games, Harry Potter Magic Awakened will launch globally later this year as the latest title from Portkey Games, the label dedicated to creating new mobile experiences and video games inspired from the wizarding world.

Harry Potter Magic Awakened is a multiplayer duel game that creates immersive journeys with tactical gameplay that meets the player’s imagination. All are beautifully rendered in a unique artistic style, the company statement said.

Both companies have collaborated on development to ensure an accurate representation of the wizarding world, from the initial visualization and art design, to the plot of the story and the overall game system. Released in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan in September 2021, Harry Potter Magic Awakened is the biggest mobile game launch of 2021, topping the list of titles on the App Store.

The game has surpassed all new mobile games released globally in revenue for the first four months of the year, according to analytics platforms SensorTower. Pre-registration and beta testing will also begin for players residing in Asian territories later this year.
