The behind-the-scenes video is just one of the many ways that Oda and publisher Shueisha have celebrated the series’ recent milestones: several “cover chapters” in which other Weekly Shonen Jump creators redraw the series’ One Piece’s famous moment, has been released, most recently the Nisekoi author Naoshi Komi’s rendition of the “Vivi’s Adventures” chapter from the Alabasta section. A collaboration with the Where’s Waldo children’s book series has also been released.

Oda’s manga series has since become the best-selling manga series ever, with Nearly half a billion copies have been released worldwide. An anime adaptation began airing in 1999 and continues to be one of the highest rated anime shows in Japan to this day.
The series follows Monkey D. Luffy, a boy who accidentally eats a mysterious Gum-Gum fruit, giving him the ability to lengthen and develop his limbs. Luffy, who has always dreamed of becoming the Pirate King, ends up as the leader of the Straw Hat Pirates, a sly gang consisting of the intelligent but greedy Nami, the perverted chef Sanji, and the old swordsman. Train Zoro. Together, the group begins to battle rival pirates and find One Piece, a legendary treasure left behind by an equally famous pirate.
