In the upcoming Valorant Episode 4 update, some guns will be adjusted to be more balanced.
In Valorant’s next Episode 4 update, in addition to the revised Breeze and Bind maps, there will be a few weapons that will also have their parameters adjusted to make them more balanced. The weapons that will be “on shelves” in this revision include: Specter, Ares, Guardian, Bulldog and most notably, melee weapons.
Melee combat: power up
First, we will talk about melee weapons first. Melee attacks in Valorant in particular and FPS games in general are really difficult. If you don’t attack the enemy from behind or constantly flash the enemy, there is almost no way to be able to attack melee. But in the next update, it seems that the Valorant development department wants to see more “birds” with melee weapons.
At update 4.0, melee weapons will be significantly increased. The first is that the hitbox (hidden cubes that represent the impact area of the game character in motion) will have a slightly increased range. In addition, when attacking the right mouse button with a melee weapon, the damage dealt will now be increased by 1.5 times. Along with that, the range and accuracy when using melee weapons are also significantly increased.
Specter: power reduction
Specter’s run&gun ability is completely reduced
After being nerfed in version 3.0, run & gun phases still happen regularly. Because of this, at version 4.0 Specter continues to receive 1 more nerf. Accordingly, the recoil of the gun (both vertical and horizontal) when running and jumping will increase from 1.25 to 1.5. In addition, the time for the projectile to change when firing will be reduced from 0.24 to 0.18. This is one of the notable changes from the Valorant development department, to minimize the run&gun ability of this SMG gun.
Ares: power up
There will be more chisels from Ares
Ares in version 4.0 will be buffed, it can be said to be significant. Accordingly, Ares will be removed from the effect of increasing the rate of fire and the Fire rate will be increased from 10 to 13. With this increase in power, it is expected that there will be many “cracking the wall” phase. than.
Guardian: power up
Guardian is also on the list of buffs this time. Guardian will now have the effect of reducing the fire rate while aiming, and the first 2 bullets when fired will have increased accuracy. Guardian was previously a regular gun for “big hands” players, now, the Valorant development department is targeting players whose aim ability is not really good.
Bulldog: increased strength
Bulldog’s unaimed fire rate has been slightly increased from 9.5 to 10. In addition, the delay between two bursts (when aiming) will be reduced from 0.4 to 0.35. A slight buff for the Bulldog is relatively suitable, when this gun is very rarely used by players.
The 4.0 Valorant update will be released on January 12. A lot of changes in this update from maps, guns to the launch of new agents. Let’s look forward to these new things.
