Why Kawaki would turn evil in the future, people need to remember that the events of episode 1 of Boruto are still ambiguous.
Kawaki has appeared since chapter 1 of the manga and volume 1 of the Boruto anime. From Kawaki’s dialogue with Boruto, there are many indications that Kawaki was the villain in their confrontation, and there are even suspicions that he killed Naruto.
Is that true? Why did Kawaki turn evil in Boruto’s future? Here is the hypothesis!
1. Boruto Chapter 1
Boruto used Karma and Jougan’s eye to confront Kawaki, the scenery around them was devastated, so after those words, readers assumed that Kawaki was the villain.
Why is Kawaki suspected of being the villain in Boruto chapter 1? Chapter 1 opens with Boruto saying to Kawaki: “I didn’t expect you to be this strong!”.
After that, Kawaki replied, “I will reunite you with the seventh!”. And he also said that the era of shinobi was over.
Boruto then used Karma and Jougan to confront Kawaki, their surroundings devastated. So, after those statements, readers assume that Kawaki is the villain.
2. Kawaki so far really looks like a hero
Kawaki in the present is very much like a hero, he especially respects and seems to love Naruto Uzumaki, even willing to sacrifice himself to keep the Seventh Hokage safe, why would the future change?
Kawaki was stubborn at first. However, as time went on, he became more and more vulnerable.
Kawaki especially respects and seems to love Naruto Uzumaki. He was even willing to sacrifice himself to keep the Seventh Hokage safe.
In his confrontation with Isshiki, Kawaki was actually more of a hero than Boruto. When sent to the battlefield, he actually caused Isshiki’s death, tricking him using the Kage Bunshin.
Later, it was Boruto who became the villain, as his body was taken over by Momoshiki. In fact, it was Boruto who used the Kunai to stab Sasuke’s Rinnegan.
Kawaki became more of a hero after he decided to set himself on fire, forcing Momoshiki (who needed Kawaki to sacrifice to the Ten-Tails) to absorb Kawaki’s flames to save him. This helps Boruto take his body from Momoshiki again.
3. What can make someone like Kawaki so evil?
In the future, maybe Kawaki is influenced by the Otsutsuki clan, or some other organization, because even the good-natured Boruto can still become a villain when taken over.
In the Boruto manga so far, Kawaki still feels like the hero. Why do people like you become evil?
One of the reasons could be that Kawaki was influenced by the Otsutsuki clan, or some other group. Even the good-natured Boruto was able to turn into a villain and stab Sasuke’s Rinnegan, as his body had been taken over by Momoshiki.
4. Is there any possibility other than Kawaki being taken over by the Otsutsuki clan or some other organization?
If there was a certain ninja village that tried to take advantage of Naruto’s weakness to cause disaster or war, that could be the reason why Kawaki felt that he had to change, wanting to end this era.
If there is another possibility, what we need to analyze is probably Kawaki’s words in volume 1 about the end of the shinobi era. Something must have made him decide to end the age of shinobi.
Right now we don’t know exactly what this is. Since until now, the war in Boruto was against the Otsutsuki and Kara clansmen, there was no sign that this era would end.
But if a certain ninja village tried to take advantage of Naruto’s weakness to cause disaster or war, that could be the cause for Kawaki’s change. Another possibility is that ending the age of shinobi was Amado’s goal, and Kawaki, who possessed Karma from Amado, was affected. Or even, going back to the possibility that Kawaki’s body was taken over caused him to act like that.
5. It should be remembered that the events of chapter 1 are still ambiguous
The future events in volume 1 are still unclear, it would be interesting if somehow Boruto is the real villain in the confrontation, and Kawaki is the one who will stop him.
Even so, the events of Boruto’s chapter 1 are actually still very vague. Whether Kawaki is truly evil or not remains to be questioned.
The dialogue about Naruto’s fate is ambiguous. Kawaki only said that he would reunite Boruto with the seventh.
One might think Kawaki killed Naruto. But Karma has a space-time jutsu, able to move to any place he wants.
“I will reunite you with the seventh!” It can be understood that Kawaki will teleport Boruto to where Naruto is. It wasn’t killing him, and Naruto wasn’t dead either.
Although Konoha was destroyed, it is possible that Kawaki actually teleported Naruto and the others before the village was destroyed. And while Kawaki’s Karma was obtained through Amado, Boruto so far in the manga still possesses the real Karma. His body could be taken over by Momoshiki at any moment.
It would be interesting if somehow it was Boruto who was really the bad guy in the confrontation, and Kawaki who was going to stop him. And the end of the age of shinobi is a good thing.
It was Boruto’s future analysis of why Kawaki would become evil. What do you think? Please write comments!
