The new trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt showcases upcoming features for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game.
CD Projekt Red announced new content highlights for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt when its next major update arrives on December 14. One of the key new features added to PC is the photo mode. , allowing players to capture and share images. The studio says there will be a photo contest in this mode. Fans have long been waiting for the photo mode, and it’s finally here.
In addition, a new camera angle mode coming to PC will help move the camera closer to Geralt. Players can mix and match camera settings for different scenarios such as exploration, combat, and Roach riding. The next gen update on PC also adds ray tracing, ambient occlusion, and “super extra” settings that add details to background characters and environmental elements. For PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, players can expect a change in Performance and Quality modes, allowing them to choose between prioritizing performance (higher frame rate) or quality ( better picture). In addition, the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will also receive ray tracing, ambient occlusion, and other graphical features. However, the Series S will not have the above updates, instead, it has 30 fps and 60 fps options.
The update also improves some other quality of life, including new walking and jogging options for Geralt, and the ability to resize subtitles in the game.
