Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga in English and it describes the story:
Narumi Momose had a hard time: every boyfriend she had abandoned her when they found out she was an otaku, so she tried hard to hide it. When a chance encounter at her new job with her childhood friend, fellow otaku, and now colleague Hirotaka Nifuji almost reveals her secret at work, she comes up with a plan to ensure that he never speaks up. But he made the opposite suggestion: why didn’t she go on a date together instead
Fujita launched the manga on the pixiv Website in 2014. In November 2015, the manga was moved to Ichijinsha’s Comic POOL digital manga magazine.
The main manga ended after 60 chapters, and the manga’s 11th and final volume will be published on October 14. The special edition of that final volume will include the manga’s third original anime disc with one volume. Based on the “Company Outing” story from the sixth volume of the manga:
The manga has more than 12 million copies in circulation, both in print and digital.
The manga inspired an 11-episode television anime that premiered in April 2018. The anime is streaming on Amazon Prime Video in and out of Japan. The original anime first adapted the manga’s seven volumes in March 2019.
A live-action film adaptation of the manga opened in Japan in February 2020. The film debuted at No. 1 in its opening weekend.
