Kaede Hondo, Ryotaro Okiayu in charge of voiceover anime about famous strategist reincarnated in present-day Tokyo
Kodoani.com – Kodansha announced on Wednesday the manga Ya Boy Kongming will be adapted into a television anime scheduled to premiere in April 2022.
Osamu Honma (The aquatope on white sand, Fairy gone, IRODUKU: The World in Colors episode director) is directing the anime at PA Works. Yoko Yonaiyama (who wrote both seasons of Uma Musume Pretty Derby) is supervising the series’ scripts, and Kanami Sekiguchi (Hanasaku Iroha – Blossoms for Tomorrow, Shirobako) is designing the characters. Genki Hikota is composing music at Avex Pictures.

Kaede Hondo stars in the anime as Eiko Tsukumi, and Ryotaro Okiayu voices Zhuge Kongming.
The manga launched in Kodansha’s Comic Days website in December 2019. This year’s 51st issue of Magazine Weekly Young revealed on Monday that the manga will also launch in the magazine starting with its 52nd issue on the 22nd. The manga’s sixth volume was published on July 14, and volume 7 was released on November 18.
