Kodoani.com – Taking the center stage of Yashahime season 1, Season 2 has hinted at a new couple with Setsuna playing the central role. Setsuna is known as a difficult princess but also full of passion in fighting to protect those she loves. In the latest episode, Setsuna finds herself growing closer to the demon hunter Hitsui.
After Sesshōmaru cut off the Dream Butterfly that stole Setsuna’s dreams in order to keep her mother alive, Setsuna was finally able to get some sleep after years of being awake. Setsuna tries to stop herself from sleeping because she needs to use her precious time to save her mother before the Curse kills her. But anyway, she finally fell asleep because she was completely exhausted. Towa watches over her twin sister while she is sleeping but soon steps outside to talk to Kaede. During Towa’s absence, Princess Ayia kidnapped Setsuna in her sleep to bring her back to her mansion and change her into a kimono.
When Setsuna awoke, confused and disoriented, she was initially hostile to Princess Ayia and demanded to know where she was. Princess Ayia further explained that she wanted Setsuna to teach her since they were of the same height and age, making her the perfect match that the instructor wouldn’t notice. With Princess Ayia’s sobbing tale of the hardships of being a princess and a political pawn, Setsuna finally agreed to take her place for the afternoon so the princess could enjoy a rare taste of freedom. . However, the ritual instructor who appeared to conduct the lessons was none other than Hisui, the demon hunter, who was standing in place of his older sister.
Since they were old friends, Setsuna and Hisui instantly recognized each other. Hisui is surprised to learn that Sestuna feels sympathy for the princess and expresses his belief that her time with Towa has changed her for the better. Hisui further explains that he is standing for his older sister Kin’u, who inherited psychic abilities from their father and became a nun. While neglecting to do the actual lessons, Hisui reveals to Setsuna his family and motivations to become a demon hunter.
Hisui is the son of Sango and the monk Miroku, who was part of the main group of characters in the original Inuyasha. He admits that his father trained and expected him to become a monk like Miroku, but Hisui soon lost interest in this path as his older sister Kin’u completed the role before he could. . His other sister, Gyokuto, eventually took over their mother’s shop by creating and managing weapons for demon hunters, forcing Hisui to find his own way. Hisui then grows up to admire their uncle and leader of the demon slayers, Kohaku, who risked his life to protect everyone. This was the reason why he finally decided to join the demon hunting group where he finally met Setsuna for the first time.
When they discovered that Princess Ayia had been captured by a demon, Hisui told Setsuna to stay safe and gently took her hand before asking her to trust him. While Princess Ayia expressed his romantic feelings for Hisui after saving her, it was clear that he did not reciprocate her feelings upon his return to Setsuna. With this exciting development, fans are eager to see how Setsuna and Hisui’s blossoming relationship plays out.
