The novel tells previously untold stories about the daily lives of people in the Trade Union
Kodoani.com – This year’s seventh issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that the manga Undead Unluck by Yoshifumi Tozuka will be adapted from the novel. Shueisha’s Jump J-Books will publish the novel.
The novel will tell a never-before-told story about the daily lives of the people of the Union organization. The novel will also tell the stories of “Memories of Gina” and “Infiltrate Shen’s Academy.” Tozuka is overseeing the novel and is also drawing the illustrations.
Tozuka published the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump as a one-shot in January 2019, and then launched a serialized version in the magazine in January 2020. Viz Media began digitally publishing the manga in same month and it describes the first volume of the manga:
All Fuuko wants is a passionate romance like in her favorite shojo manga. Unfortunately, her Unluck ability makes that impossible. But just as Fuuko is at the bottom of her despair, Andy pulls her off her feet – literally! Now, she becomes the subject of Andy’s reluctant test when he tries to find a way to trigger an Unluck big enough to kill him. However, when the couple discovers a secret organization is hunting them, it puts the plan to bury Andy on hold.
Viz Media began publishing the manga in May 2021. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service is also releasing the manga digitally.
Manga ranked 14th on Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2021 manga list for male readers. The manga also won the sixth “Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō” award (comic award coming soon) in August 2020.
